Yesterday I got to finish something I started a while ago. I got to send another bride off to her new husband and life. Photographer Katy Cook brought bride Rachel Cone in last month to shoot her bridal portrait. Typically I meet the bride long before the wedding, to do a trial run. I love it when it coincides with an important event, like Rachel’s portrait. It is rare that I see these images, especially before the actual wedding. Katy surprised me with a disk of images from the shoot on the day of Rachel’s wedding. Rachel was surrounded by her mom and many bridesmaids, all decked out with matching robes and personalized knee socks. She was bubbly, excited, pretty calm, and beautiful. Thank you, Rachel, for including me on one of the most important days of your life! And thank you, Katy, for documenting it and remembering me.
