PRESS SAMPLEHi loves! Today I have several blushes and bronzers from my new favorite cosmetic company – Serenity & Scott! You may remember me talking about their face powder in my May favorites. I had the pleasure of meeting them at IMATS NY & The Makeup Show and they are just a delight to be around.  Thanks to my girl Sam, their products have changed my life! Let’s take a look at some of their gorgeous blushes and bronzers!

East coast meets West coast, classic meets free, in an epic love story…
A love of people, a love for the city of Asheville in the mountains of North Carolina and a love for diverse beauty.
SERENITY+SCOTT is the culmination of years of experience, love and the desire to help others find their own true style. This inspiring duo has personally developed a line of cosmetics designed to help you find your own version of gorgeous.
Their blushes and bronzers come in three different finishes – Sheer Shimmer, High Impact & Matte Powder.  All of them were EXTREMELY pigmented and very easy to blend out on the cheeks.  I have SO many on my wish list right now!
I am absolutely in LOVE with Venice Beach! It is such a gorgeous peachy pink shade that is perfect for Summer. Pair it with The Hamptons bronzer and you are good to go!
S+S was also kind enough to send me one of their blush brushes! All of their brushes are vegan & cruelty free and made from circular cut Japanese synthetic fibers which makes them INCREDIBLY soft on the face!
This brand is definitely one to check out. Their products are incredible and affordable! If you do get the chance to meet them at a makeup trade show, I highly recommend picking up their powder foundation and blushes! They will change your LIFE!
Have you tried any Serenity + Scott products before? Is this a brand that will be on your radar?

Serenity + Scott Beauty Multi-Dimensional Mascara Review and Swatches 2014

I left IMATS NYC with two new mascaras. I reviewed one a couple weeks ago, and after a week of wear-testing the second, I’m ready to share my thoughts on the Serenity + Scott Multi-Dimensional Mascara in Coal!

Serenity + Scott also offered me a Mini Lash Fan Brush from their brush collection with my purchase, as well, and told me that it’s great to get mascara in hard-to-reach places on the lashes, like to accent the very tips, and place product at the very root, as well.

Check out the brush on the mascara:

It’s a pretty standard brush head, and draws a good amount of product on it.

So how did it work? Well, here’s a comparison photo of my naked lashes, first!

I used it several times so I’ve got a few eye look photos to share! But here’s the first day I wore it:

I was pretty happy with the ease of application, and the look.

Here are a few other looks, to show you the consistency of the product.

This mascara definitely gave my lashes volume, and length! And I used the Mini Lash Fan Brush to get to the very tips of my lashes, although I admit, I didn’t use it every time I used the mascara, because I was happy with the performance of the mascara brush. I tried using it at my lash roots but I got mascara all over my eyeliner. Something I’ll have to practice at!

The Multi-Dimensional Mascara wore great throughout the day and didn’t irritate my sensitive, contact-wearing eyes. I received the raccoon eye look once, at the end of the day, immediately under my lower lash line. But the day I had it, I used a lot of contact rewetting drops, and also removed all of my eye shadow because it was crappy eye pencils that creased (that would be the next to last look). So I was constantly disturbing my eyes by touching them!

The Mini Lash Fan brush, by the way, is vegan and cruelty-free according to the brand website. It is made from circular-cut Japanese synthetic fiber.

Multi-Dimensional Mascara retails for $16 on the brand website here. The Mini Lash Fan Brush retails for $12 and can be found here on the brand website.

So what do you think about this mascara? Do you use a mini fan brush to help your mascara application? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Disclaimer: I received the small fan brush to review from the PR Firm/Manufacturer . Please visit my Disclosure tab for more information on how keeps it real!

We had such an amazing time at The Makeup Show New York City! This year they began with a gala, red carpet and all. Lady Bunny was the featured entertainment and Kevin Aucoin’s father was in attendance and spoke. Note the selfie with AJ Crimson! One of Scott’s highlights was seeing mentor Maurice Stein. A BIG thank you to Porsché and Zakyna for being the most beautiful models anyone could ask for and Corey Smith for adding a pop of color to our booth! We couldn’t have done it without you! It was such a pleasure meeting all of the press and social media mavens! A special shout out to Miss Niki, Samantha Reilly and Beauty Judy! We truly appreciate all of your kind words!

We are already prepping for The Makeup Show’s Chicago Show, June 6th and 7th. This will be our first time at the Chicago show, so we’re very excited to see who’s who in the Windy City.

Earlier this year we were invited to work on Marley Carroll’s latest music video. I am a big fan, (his first CD has been in my car stereo for nearly two years straight) I was really excited to be a part of it. The fact that designer R. Brooke Priddy and Dan Judson were leading the team made it and even bigger event. The music video is finally out for the world see – it was premiered moments ago on BlackBook Magazine:
